WHEN OUR WORK

Becomes God's Work

Work Matters

Your Work matters to God and

God matters to your work.

"Integrating Faith into our Work and seeing Work as a means of caring for and transforming others brings deeper purpose to life. When faith and work are harmoniously integrated, life becomes more engaging and fulfilling. It's about recognizing that our work can be a tangible expression of our faith, making our lives holistic and purpose-driven to heed the call of our life and fulfilling the mandate of work in our life"

Hence, our work becomes importnat, it becomes God's work in caring and transforming the people at work through us.

This is the purpose of the WholeLife Church- A Church that is relevant in its time.

OUR STORY

Vocation@Work (VW) Integration Model

Towards A WholeLife Church

When a church embraces progressive ideas and cultivates a bold culture, alongside a commitment to learning and experiencing God's presence in our daily lives, it becomes a vibrant catalyst for growth and fruitfulness within the congregation. This narrative encapsulates the very essence of work within the church community to build a radical Church model namely the WholeLife Church.

This depiction of church life signifies a journey towards establishing a holistic WholeLife Church, for the  members (whole people of God), where their daily work (Whole Work of God) in Christ serves as a catalyst for caring and serving the community (Whole Gospel of God). Through these initiatives, our aim is to disseminate the all-encompassing message of God's love, salvation and compassion and to participate with God to serve the world and its people. This journey provides us with the opportunity to shape our life through our work narratives, where our work and faith are so intricately intertwined and lead us to a profound realization of the essence of our believing faith.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

The philosophy of the CLC Faith and Work model (vocation@work CLC)  lies at the heart of the holistic WholeLife Church, surpassing the boundaries of conventional church doctrines. A holistic WholeLife Church is one that saturates every facet of our existence, expanding the notion of church beyond the confines of Sunday services to address the entirety of people's lives and cultivate fruitfulness within them.

We firmly hold the belief that our work carries immense significance because we understand that our work matters to God and God matters to our work. Thus, our work becomes a tangible expression of God's care and love for the world, embodying God's mission for us through our vocational callings.

As such, the objective of the WholeLife Church is to embody this comprehensive approach to being the Church, extending its reach beyond the boundaries of Sundays. It entails bringing the fullness of the Gospel, encompassing messages of salvation, care, and love, to every corner of the world. This is accomplished through the seamless integration of our faith lives with the work we dedicate to God and humanity.

1 SCRIPTURE @WORK

Proverbs 27:2

Proverbs 27:2 (KJV): “Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips.”

Nuggets on worklife:

Reputation at work is everything, this is the best testimonial for our work and faith.

Good reputation is a springboard  towards more business and a good testimonial for our faith which is integrated with our works. Bad reputation would mean we hinder and cut off business.

This week, I encourage you to do everything you can to treat people as you would like to be treated. Do your best to provide quality products and service, with significant value and benefits. You'll never please everyone all the time, but in God’s mysterious ways, people will speak well of you and new opportunities will arise, in His time and in His way.

Let another man praise your work with the evidence through faith and not the results of self praise.

"If it falls to your lot to be a street sweeper, sweep the street like Micheangelo painted pictures, like Shakespeare wrote poetry, like Beethoven composed music; sweep street so well all the host of Heaven and earth will have to pause and say, "Here lived a great sweeper, who sweep his job well".
