The Kingdom Now: Living the Blessed Life
The Kingdom of God is not just a future promise—it is a present reality. It is both here and still unfolding, disrupting darkness and ushering in transformation. When we pray, "Lord, Your Kingdom come," we surrender our rule to Christ, making space for His reign. This is not passive submission; it is an invitation for heaven to invade earth, for His will to be done in us and through us as we erect our altar.
A Kingdom that Disrupts and Builds
The Kingdom shakes things up. It dismantles sin, self, and worldly power structures, casting off what does not belong. Darkness flees because it cannot stand in the presence of light.
The Kingdom is like a farmer sowing wheat while the enemy sows tares at night—both grew together, but the final separation belongs to God. It is like a dragnet, gathering both good and bad, yet in the end, God preserves the righteous and removes the rest.
Yet, the Kingdom is not just about what is removed—it is about what is built. A 'Blessed life" live to its fullest is being build at the altar daily as we erect them.
The Kingdom is liken to a mustard seed, the smallest of all the seeds, yet can grow into something mighty.
The Kingdom is liken to a leaven, working invisibly but expanding to make a beautiful bread, It spread and transformed everything in its path.
The Kingdom is a hidden treasure and a pearl of great price, worth everything to obtain. It is a great banquet where all are invited, though not all will accept.
The kingdom is for those who wait and are prepared, it is liken to the ten virgins waiting for the Bridegroom—only those prepared with enough oil will be ready when He arrives.
The Blessed Life: The Inner and The Outer Reality
To live in the Kingdom is to step into the blessed life—here and now. Altar building daily is how we create space for the Kingdom to manifest in two powerful ways:
1. The Inner Reality
Joy rooted in God's unshakable presence.
Forgiveness that frees and restores.
Peace beyond understanding.
Love flowing from the heart of God.
2. The Outer Reality
Work that serves God and others.
Calling that reflects His purpose in us.
Love expressed through generosity and service.
The Kingdom does not separate faith from work, worship from vocation, or sacred from secular. It is a lived reality, touching every aspect of daily life. A sweet communion with God at the altar ushers us into this 'blessed life.' This make me "more human" and altar building is the way to usher in this reality.
Ushering into the Kingdom
The Kingdom is now, yet still coming. We are called to usher it in through the altars we build daily. At the altar, we step into the realization of the fullness of the blessed life, when we call upon God: "Your Kingdom come". Here, in our surrender, we become more human than ever, experiencing true joy, peace, love, and purpose.
So my life is not about escaping the world but transforming it. The Kingdom is here, yet we still await its fullness with hope and anticipation. Let us build our altars and declare, "Lord, Your Kingdom come."
